“Fun in the Sun” is the theme for this year’s Corinth Old Home Days, with events being held Friday and Saturday, June 17-18. The celebration kicks off at 6 tonight with an ice cream social followed by a performance by singer Rusty Coffey at 8 p.m. Saturday starts off with a parade at 10 a.m. The parade honors Edna Vigue, Corinth’s oldest resident and holder of the Boston Post cane, and is dedicated to American Legion Post 115. The parade lineup is slated for 9 a.m., and volunteers are needed to help with the event. Several events with something for the whole family are scheduled throughout the weekend, including a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, musical performances, and the firefighters’ barbecue at noon. The weekend wraps up at 4 p.m. with the lawn and garden tractor pull behind Central Middle School. The entry fee is $5. For more information, call 285-7562.
