BLUE HILL – Darren Daniels combined for three singles, a double and four RBIs as Quirk Auto Park earned a sweep of the Blue Hill Bankers, taking the opener 13-7 and the nightcap 12-1.

In the first game, David Utterback chipped in with a two-run single for Quirk. Blake Alley led Blue Hill with a solo home run and Seth Cole had a single, a double and an RBI.

In the second game, Justin Sirois tripled and drove in a run for Quirk. Toby Cole had an RBI single for Blue Hill and brother Seth singled twice.

UBS Financial sweeps Montville

At the Winkin Complex in Bangor, UBS Financial received outstanding pitching while sweeping a season-opening doubleheader from Montville by scores of 4-3 and 1-0.

In the opener, Adam Sheehan and Jason Weymouth combined on a four-hitter. Sheehan hit the game-winning RBI single in the seventh inning.

Body Abbott posted an RBI for UBS.

Ben Relyea, who scattered four hits in a losing effort, tripled and Rob Thayer doubled for Montville.

In Game 2, Jason Harvey tripled and singled to back the combined two-hitter of Robert Webber and James Gray.

Nathan Hall pitched a four-hitter and struck out 16.

Aerus Electrolux posts sweep

At Searsport, Andy Treadwell pitched a no-hitter in the opener and Phil Cayford allowed only one hit in the nightcap as Aerus Electrolux earned a season-opening doubleheader sweep over Searsport AAA ATM.

Aerus won the opener 16-0 and took the second game 4-0.

In Game 1, Scott McDonald singled twice and drove in a run to back Treadwell’s no-hit performance.

In Game 2, Mark Farnham doubled home a run and Crawford took care of the rest.

Aaron Belanger singled for Searsport’s only hit.

Moving ME.com, Orono split

At Hermon, Moving ME.com scored two runs in the seventh inning of the first game to post a 5-4 victory and earn a split of their season-opening twinbill against Orono, which took the second game 3-1.

In Game 1, Nate Susi stroked a double and three singles to pace the winners. James Strout doubled and singled.

Billy Baker doubled and singled for Orono and Steve Visco had an RBI single.

In Game 2, Dan Olsen doubled and singled to lead Orono. Joel Perry singled twice and Visco stroked an RBI single.

James Strout and Cole McElwain each singled twice for Moving ME.com.
