Martin for the people

What a wonderful government we have in the United States, no other government cares more for their people than the good old USA.

The richest country in the world, or was, the No. 1 concern for any and all citizens is good health whether you are rich or poor’ it comes before education, jobs or money, so what do we rank on the world health scale?

The majority of the people in this country respect and honor most of the people who are in the armed services but we don’t believe the war in Iraq is by any stretch of the imagination protecting our liberty and freedom but rather just a Bush personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein.

In Washington we have the Bush administration and its Republican majority imposing their ideology on the citizens and ignoring the will of the people. Likewise in Maine we have the Baldacci administration and its Democratic majority thumbing their noses at the will of the people and imposing their personal ideology on the citizens of Maine.

Most people who are supposedly serving us in Augusta and Washington are serving themselves first and foremost. I believe I’m fortunate to have a senator in Augusta who has always been there to help when we needed it, not a week, month or year after a call but, that day or the next we have an answer, not a runaround.

I never thought that I would say this but thank God for Sen. John L. Martin, a true representative of the people.
