Seekins picks up victory at Speedway 95

HERMON – Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs didn’t let four caution flags determine the outcome as he picked up a win in the sportsman pro stocks Saturday night at Speedway 95.

Don Alexander Jr. of Carmel finished in second place, holding off Paul White of Corinna, who took third. Mike Thomas of Etna was fourth, and Erik Worster of Lee finished fifth.

Dan Emerson of Hermon topped Robert Harvey of Whitefield in the Super Pro/Pro Eliminator final Sunday at Winterport Dragway.

Unity Raceway

At Unity, Chad Dow of Fairfield edged Wayne Allard of Stetson in a tiebreaker to win the Modified Twin 30s despite not winning either 30-lap feature race Sunday.

Dow was third in the first half and the runner-up in the second half. Allard was second and third in the two halves, respectively, but Dow’s second-place finish in the second race was the tiebreaker.

Travis Benjamin of Morrill was third overall with Newburgh’s Greg Veinote fourth and Chris Staples of Brunswick fifth.
