Lauren Forgues, who will be a senior at Boothbay High School in the fall, set a new meet record in the 3,000-meter racewalk at the New England USATF junior national meet at MIT in Boston. She shattered the old record by nearly 3 minutes, walking 14 minutes, 59.3 seconds. The old record was 17:56.99. Hall-Dale’s Padric Gleason was second in 15:07.
