BELFAST – Nye Gifford and Andrew Patterson each smacked a two-run home run as the Brewer Falcons capitalized on walks to plate eight runs in the eighth inning and earn a 13-5 American Legion baseball victory over the Waldo Wildcats onTuesday.

Pat Moran singled twice and tripled for Brewer and Chris Maguire had two singles.

Brendan Gardner and Brad Burke each had a two-run homer and Tyson McHatten a solo shot for Waldo.

At Old Town, Jacob Lukas had a home run and a pair of singles as the Twins rolled past the Suns.

George Keefe had two doubles with a single, Cory Estes had two singles and a double, and Brian Roach added with two singles to spark a 10-run Orono third.

Steve Colbeth led Calais with a home run and a double while James Ramsdell singled three times.

At Blue Hill, Joel Neill, Brett Danforth and Jason Huntley each had a single for Hampden in the win.

Brian McGinley pitched a complete-game shutout and allowed only two hits for the Riverdogs.

Adam Cousins and Harrison Hines each singled for Trenton’s lone hits.

Andy Pooler pitched a three-hitter for Trenton.
