PORTLAND – Craig Stansberry and Carlos Maldonado each collected three hits, pacing the Altoona Curve over the Portland Sea Dogs 10-7 Tuesday.

Altoona (42-34) scored seven runs in the second inning off Portland (39-34) starter Kason Gabbard (6-7), with Ray Sadler and Maldonado getting RBIs and Jose Bautista cracking a three-run homer.

Leading, 7-1, Altoona added two more in the third, then Portland got four in its half, keyed by Brandon Moss’ three-run homer.

David Murphy’s homer in the fourth brought Portland to within 9-6. Altoona added another in the seventh, on Ray Sadler’s homer, and Portland finished the scoring in the bottom of the frame as Alberto Concepcion and Chris Durbin hit back to back doubles.

Brady Borner (3-0) pitched 3 1/3 relief innings for the win, while Justin Kaye gained his 20th save.
