FARMINGTON – University of Maine-Farmington president Theodora Kalikow recently won a bronze medal in her first Senior Olympics triathlon in Pittsburgh. The Senior Olympics are sponsored by the National Senior Games Association.
The triathlon event, in which 150 people participated, included a 400-meter swim, a 12.5-mile bicycle race and a 5-kilometer run. Kalikow finished third in her age group with a time of 1 hour, 59 minutes and 4 seconds.
Kalikow has been competing in triathlons for four years.
