Brand-new bag

A former restaurant owner and a local financial planner have got a brand-new bag.

Brewster owns Brewster Financial Services in Bangor. He will continue to operate his business while Sturdee operates My Maine Bag. Brewster will assist Sturdee with accounting and administrative tasks.

Sturdee, who last September sold Pat’s Pizza in Hampden after owning it for several years, said the company’s bags are found in stores from Maine to Florida. He said he would like to expand the company’s wholesale business to the Midwest and California and perhaps into international markets.

My Maine Bag employs 22 people and also sells several lines of gifts and collectibles.
