ORONO – The University of Maine’s Jordan Planetarium will let out all the stops and parade all of its most popular star shows across the summer sky. From the Earth to the edge of the universe, visitors will gain a new perspective on the cosmos three times each week. Public presentations will be offered Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons and evenings in the domed theater of Wingate Hall on the Orono campus. The lineup includes showings of the youngest star shows for 5- to 8- year-old space “kidets” as well as more advanced explorations of recent discoveries that shape understanding of the history of the universe. Tickets are $3 per person and may be purchased at the door. Seating is limited.
