SOUTHWEST HARBOR – The Beth C. Wright Center in Ellsworth will offer skin care, cosmetic and hair tips for women experiencing the side effects of cancer treatment from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the Somesville Union Meeting House.

The program, called “Look Good … Feel Better,” is designed by the American Cancer Society to help female cancer patients improve their self-esteem during the difficulties of their treatment.

Presenter Barbara Strubell will offer information about caring for hair, skin and nails and will talk about wigs, turbans, scarves and other options for women who are losing their hair.

Each participant will receive a free kit containing more than $200 worth of cosmetics they can use during and after the workshop.
