UNITY – Mount Vernon’s Judd Derbyshire took his third checkered flag of the season in the Late Model Pro-4 class, overcoming a mid-race spin and holding off newcomer Tim Robinson of Clinton by two car-lengths Saturday night.
It was the second event in the class’s Triple Crown Series.
Derbyshire, who had been involved in a lap-11 wreck with Starks’ Steve Rackliff, inherited the lead on a lap 25 restart prompted by a wreck involving Vassalboro’s Ed Drake Jr., Robinson and Paul Shorette of Winslow.
He then held off the charging Robinson.
