PORTLAND – Todd Westfall, who turned pro less than two years ago, has come away with the top prize in the TD Banknorth Portland Open.
Westfall, of Clendenin, W.Wa., fired a 3-under-par 68 Saturday at Riverside Golf Course to finish 11 under for the 54-hole tournament. The win gives him a $14,000 payday, the biggest of his career.
Runner-up Rob Oppenheim of Andover, Mass. wound up one stroke back after his uphill 15-foot putt fell short on the 18th hole.
