GOULDSBORO – An elderly local woman was hospitalized Sunday after being pinned between a pop-up trailer and a shed at her home.
Volunteers from the Gouldsboro Fire Department were called to Herbs Drive at about 3:30 p.m. for a report of a woman who had been hit by a vehicle.
Gouldsboro police Officer James Malloy said the incident occurred when the woman’s brother attempted to move a pop-up trailer in the driveway with the all-terrain vehicle he was riding. The man accidentally bumped the trailer and caused it to wedge his sister between the vehicle and the shed.
The woman was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where she was in stable condition, he said.
The incident is under investigation by the Maine Warden Service.
