It is with intense outrage that we pound the keyboard of the very tool two former colleagues in our school district used to inexcusably violate, not only this community’s trust, but more importantly, the trust of the children with whose emotional and physical safety they were entrusted.

In reference to the Bangor Daily News article of June 28, we would like to make the following statement as teachers from Holbrook School: involvement in child pornography is never a victimless crime, and we do not support or minimize the actions of those involved in this horrible breach of trust.

Now, and in the future, the children of our district remain our top priority.
