Letters to the editor should be about the issues and should never be a forum to personally attack or threaten another person. The editors of the Bangor Daily News have failed miserably in their responsibility to screen out such useless, personal attacks on David Manski, of Acadia National Park, regarding the lupine issue within park boundaries.

No matter which side of the argument you are on, the discussion should be about policy and not about individuals.

Your newspaper does our community a grave disservice by printing personal attacks and threats.
