CALAIS – Drew Welch slapped a two-run single to lead the Lincoln Lumber to a 5-4 victory over the Calais Suns in American Legion baseball action Thursday night.

Jordan Burleigh and Josh Seeley had two singles apiece for Lincoln.

Steve Colbeth hit a two-run homer for the Suns and Jeff Ramsdell added a solo shot to go with two singles. Corey Colbeth notched two singles and drove in a run.

At Hampden, Brian Roach smacked a two-run double for the Twins in the win.

At Husson College in Bangor, John Wentworth hit his second RBI single of the night in the top of the eighth, giving the Wildcats the win in eight innings.

Matt Nickerson notched a solo homer, an inside-the-park shot for Waldo and Mike Adams added two singles.

Josh Pelletier had an RBI single and RBI double for the Navigators. Justin Freeman hit a two-run single and Eric Day a two-run triple. Aaron Woodman hit three singles.

Chris Maguire had an RBI triple and Joe Robicheau had a two-run single to help spark Brewer’s seven-run sixth inning. Andrew Otis added a double and drove in two runs. Corey Cushing scattered five hits, struck out three and walked one in a complete game.
