BANGOR – Ben Estabrook of Bangor shot a 72 to win the Junior Greater Bangor Open Friday at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

Estabrook qualified for the regular Greater Bangor Open, along with Brewer’s Dave Perry who shot 75. Jackie Royal of Ellsworth and Whitney Hand of Bucksport tied with a 76 but Royal edged Hand in extra holes to earn the third GBO berth. The regular GBO is July 21-23. The entry fee is normally $175, but the three Junior GBO qualifiers will each pay just $20.

Nineteen golfers competed in Friday’s event.
