Moore dominates in Dodge Dealers

NORTH EAST, Pa. – 2003 Rookie of the Year Ryan Moore of Scarborough led every lap from the pole to win the Local Dodge Dealers 150 at Lake Erie Speedway on Saturday night.

It’s his first career NASCAR Busch North victory after 33 starts. Moore moves to eighth in points.

Coventry, R.I.’s Mike Stefanik finished second, Matt Kobyluck of Uncasville, Conn. was third, Salisbury, Mass.’ Mike Johnson was fourth, and Hudson, N.H.’s Dave Dion was fifth.

Cherryfield native Andy Santerre finished 13th, one lap behind the winner. The finish dropped Santerre from second to fourth in points, 51 points behind leader Kobyluck.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

At Scarborough, Steve Carrier of Saco held off a hard-charging Steve Berry of Gorham to post his second win of the season in the NASCAR Pro Series. Windham’s Bobby Babb finished third, fourth was Curtis Gerry of South Waterboro and Alan Tardiff of Lyman finished fifth.

Ricky Burgess, Jr. of Waterville won the rain-shortened Super Street 50 lap feature on Saturday night to claim his sixth-straight win. Anson’s Mickey Landry, Sr. took the runner-up spot, Tom Oliver was third, Mark Dodge of Anson finished fourth, and Smithfield’s Ricky Austin, Jr. was fifth.

Setzer wins truck race

SPARTA, Ky. – Dennis Setzer raced to his third NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory in four races, holding off Todd Bodine in a two-lap shootout Saturday night after leader Terry Cook crashed with four laps left.

Maine driver Ricky Craven finished 13th.
