BANGOR – Old Town and Bangor both opened with victories in the District 3 Senior League All-Star baseball tourney at Mansfield Stadium Saturday.

Old Town defeated Glenburn 7-4 and Bangor beat Hampden 22-2.

In Saturday’s first game, Jarrett Lukas allowed four runs on six hits while striking out 15 to lead Old Town to the win.

Evan Paradis tripled for Old Town.

Colin Bates singled twice to drive in four runs to Glenburn.

In Saturday’s second game, Alex Gallant highlighted the 19-run first inning with a three-run home run to spark Bangor.

Ian Edwards doubled and singled with six RBIs for Bangor and Shane Walton had a double and three singles with five RBIs. Kyle Gallant hit a double and two singles to knock in a run and Kyle Vanidestine had two singles with three RBIs. Tom Crews tripled to drive in a run.

Harvey Shue and David Piete each singled for Hampden.

At Calais, Ben Walls of Acadian tossed a one-hitter with nine strikeouts to edge Tyler Morrison of Calais, who countered with a two-hitter and seven strikeouts.

Seth Vandegrift doubled and drove in a run for Acadia. Colin Moors singled for the team’s only other hit.

Morrison hit a double for Calais.

At Hampden, Cameron Archer singled twice for Old Town and had 12 strikeouts to help lead Old Town to victory.

At Hampden, Kurt Massey hit a double and drove in three runs to help Orrington win.

Dakotah Jordan singled and drove in three runs for Lincoln. Nick Haynes added two singles and Trevor Page had a single and an RBI.

At Hampden, Ben Pushard singled twice and drove in three runs to back winning pitcher Zach Violette, who allowed only one hit and struck out eight.

Tony Bissell and Spencer Valley each chipped in with a double, single and two RBIs for the winners and Josh McNally added two singles and two RBIs.

Bobby Winchell singled for Bangor West.

Cooper Antone added three singles and an RBI for the winners while Will Manning and Collin Hewes each chipped in with two singles. Manning had two RBIs and Hewes had one.

Keegan Thomas tripled, doubled and drove in a run for Orono-Veazie.

At Machias, Aaron Huffman hit a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead Machias to victory on Saturday.

Huffman had two doubles and two RBIs for Machias and Nick Pineo added three singles and an RBI. Jessie Wood hit an RBI double and Jay Beal had an RBI single.

Delbert Beckwith hit two singles to drive in two runs for Ellsworth. Ben Curtis singled twice and Josh Fowler hit an RBI double.

At Bucksport, righthander Tyler McAllian didn’t allow a hit in the four-inning game and struck out seven.

McAllian aided his own cause with three singles and four RBIs. Bill Deredin and Baily Blair each chipped in with a single and double with Deredin driving in two runs. Lucas Wardell added two singles.

At Holden, Dylan Harnish scored from second base on a throwing error with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift Bangor East to the win on Saturday.

Larry Roberts hit an RBI single in the first inning for Bangor East. Bryan Rouleau struck out eight.

Connor Giles had two singles and two runs scored for Bangor West and Ron Cook added two singles and a run.

At Holden, Jacob Chapman allowed just one run on two hits and one walk while striking out six to lead Holbrook to the thunder and lightning shortened win on Saturday.

Keith Nelson hit an RBI single and a solo home run for Holbrook. Max Andrews hit an RBI single and Chapman had a bunt single.

Bryan Rouleau singled and scored for Bangor East and Mitchell Wilson also singled.

Jacob Searles and Connor Giles each had two singles for Bangor West. John Boisvert doubled and scored three runs and John Matheson also doubled.

Adam Geel had two singles and two RBIs for Calais. Chris Shorey doubled.

At Machias, Toby Woods allowed just two runs on three hits and no walks while striking out eight to lead Machias to the win on Sunday.

Will Manchester hit a two-run home run in the third inning for Machias. Mike Padilla tripled and Brian Getchell doubled.

Mike Crowley hit an RBI double for Sunrise and Nate Dublin tripled.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Mack Susi hit a double and two singles to knock in three runs and help push Bangor to victory on Sunday.

John Moore doubled and singled to drive in three runs for Bangor. Lonnie Hackett had three singles and two RBIs and John Warren singled twice.

Nolan Turner hit three singles for Hampden. Rion Snow and Shawn Smith both doubled.

Brandon Carney doubled and singled with two RBIs for Holbrook and Nick Pooler had a double and two singles.

Dan Taft had three singles and an RBI for Orono-Veazie and Adam Leadbetter hit an RBI double.
