Monday, 5 p.m., City Council finance committee meeting; agenda includes propose charter amendment giving council line-item veto authority over school budget; residents’ issues regarding Raena’s Pub; recommendations for use of homeland security funding; proposed resolve transferring cable franchise from Adelphia to Time Warner.
. Tuesday, 3:45 p.m., water district trustees, 614 State St.; agenda includes billing software conversion, overview of land purchases and forestry management and district’s work force, seaplanes and other activities banned on Flood’s pond; council’s transportation and infrastructure committee, agenda includes request to use city land on Curve Street for community garden, proposed ordinance regulating discharge into the storm drainage system; 7 p.m., planning board, agenda includes contract zone change for Essex Common at 402 Essex St., final subdivision plan for Woodridge subdivision off Bomarc Road, site development plan for BOG Associates at 1004 State St., site development plans for JRG Properties Inc. at 33 Burleigh Road and Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems at 885 Union St.
. Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., public meeting regarding new design concept for West Market Square; 3 p.m., Thomas Hill Standpipe tour, Thomas Hill Road; 5 p.m., council workshop on regional dispatch; 5 p.m., public meeting regarding new design concept for West Market Square, city manager’s office.
. Thursday, 8 a.m., commission for cultural development, programs and grants subcommittee; agenda includes funding requests from University of Maine Museum of Art and Penobscot Theatre; noon, multi-purpose athletic field complex subcommittees on needs and assessment and funding and implementation; 12:30 p.m., Maine Gambling Control Board, Department of Public Safety Complex, 45 Commerce St., Augusta, agenda includes licensee updates and activities, problem gaming program.
