BANGOR – The following are city meetings for the week beginning Monday. All will be held in the City Council chambers at City Hall unless otherwise indicated.

. Monday, 5:30 p.m., City Council workshop on proposed charter amendment to give council line-item veto authority over school budget; 6:15 p.m., council workshop on municipal eminent domain; 6:45 p.m., executive session on land negotiations regarding disposition of city property on Union Street; 7:15 p.m., executive session discussion on pending litigation against the city from CMC and maintenance regarding airport cleaning contract; 7:30 p.m., regular council meeting, agenda includes no-smoking policy for health and welfare department, contract award for airport parking garage design and construction, reassignment of cable franchise to Time Warner NY Cable LLC, planned group development agreement for Merrill Merchants Bank, and police station site on Main Street, policy for council appointees’ performance review.

. Tuesday, 5 p.m., council’s government operations committee, agenda includes discussion concerning noise and potential courses of action at Club Gemini; 6:30 p.m., planning board, comprehensive plan update workshop, physical development plan.

. Wednesday, 5 p.m., council’s business and economic development committee, agenda includes tentative developer status for state court system for city-owned land chosen for new courthouse, Essex Street development site; 5 p.m., recycling committee, 530 Maine Ave., recycling reports, composting workshop proposal.

. Thursday, noon, Bangor State Fair press conference, Bass Park; 5 p.m., Dakin Pool Committee, Dakin Pool, agenda includes findings of inspection.

. Friday, noon, Bangor State Fair ribbon cutting and opening, Bass Park.
