A Bangor man was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with terrorizing after allegedly damaging a Bangor residence.
Officers Edward Mercier and Brad Hanson of the Bangor Police Department responded to a report of property being damaged at an apartment building on Pearl Street. Mercier said he believed Joshua Noyes, 25, lived in the upstairs apartment of the building. Mercier discovered there was a warrant for the arrest of Noyes.
Mercier noticed that several windows in the upstairs apartment were broken and there were empty beer bottles and broken glass on the lawn. Mercier reportedly asked Noyes what had happened, and Noyes said he did not have to tell the officer. Mercier noted that Noyes appeared to be extremely intoxicated. He was placed in handcuffs until his warrant was confirmed.
Mercier found extensive damage in the apartment, including large holes in the wall. Noyes then reportedly became verbally hostile to the officer, after which Mercier and Hanson took him to Penobscot County Jail. In the cruiser on the way to the jail Noyes reportedly threatened the officers, and Mercier added a second charge of terrorizing to the subject.

An alleged dispute between a husband and wife in Bangor led to an arrest for domestic assault.
Officer Chris Desmond of the Bangor Police Department said he received a report of a family fight on Finson Road between Edward Ricker, 19, and his wife. The couple was visiting Ricker’s mother’s house and, according to the wife, had been arguing all day.
The wife had called police after Ricker allegedly slapped her. The wife slapped Ricker back, and then Ricker pushed her down and reportedly “stomped” on her stomach.
Ricker’s sister and stepfather confirmed the events, police said. Ricker was placed under arrest and charged with domestic assault. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail without incident.
