News in brief HOLDEN: MOTORCYCLIST OK AFTER CRASH

A 19-year-old Holden man is recovering at home from bruises, scratches and a minor concussion he suffered in a motorcycle crash Monday evening on Levenseller Road, Holden Police Chief Gene Worcester said Friday. Jacob Grant, who lives on Levenseller Road, lost control of his 2002 Honda sports bike after hitting a patch of dirt on a corner around 5:42 p.m. Monday. Grant landed in the ditch and was unconscious when emergency crews arrived. His motorcycle hit a utility pole and was demolished. Grant was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, was treated and later released.
