UBS, Aerus Electrolux split a Sunday twinbill

HERMON – UBS and Aerus Electrolux split a Bay League baseball doubleheader Sunday with UBS winning 2-0 in the first game and Aerus taking the nightcap 4-1.

In the first game, UBS’ Craig Harvey wacked a two-run single in the top of the tenth inning to score the winning runs.

Steve Estes singled twice and James Gray added a single for the winners.

Aerus’ Mark Farnham singled twice while Phil Cayford and Randy Renault both added a single.

In the second game, Aerus’ Andy Treadwell smacked a two RBI double in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead.

Jason Harvey hit singled twice, Adam Sheean singled and Danny White doubled for UBS.

Movingme, Monteville split

At Searsport, Movingme.com won the first game 3-2, but couldn’t manage a split as Monteville came back with a 5-4 win to salvage a split.

In the first game, Movingme’s Greg Hawes hit a game winning RBI single in the eighth inning.

Erik Schwab singled and doubled while Ryan Logan had three singles and an RBI for the winners.

Gerald Hews lead Monteville with a solo home run in the sixth inning, and Pasco Grove singled three times with an RBI. Ben Relyea added two singles.

In the second game, Monteville’s Jamie Potvin lead the team’s hitting with two doubles, a single and two RBIs.

Teamates Gerald Hewes and Greg Thayer both had two singles.

Movingme’s Ryan Logan drove in two runs on a triple in the sixth.
