PITTSFIELD – Bob Ballard of Palmyra recorded a hole in one Monday on the 199-yard, par-3 17th hole at J.W. Parks Golf Course. Ballard used a 5-wood to record his ace, which was witnessed by his son, Bobby Ballard, as well as Ron Heald, Steve Henigan, and Brian Henigan.

ORONO – Bob Simpson of Veazie aced the 143-yard, par-3 fourth hole at Penobscot Valley Country Club Tuesday. He made the shot using a 13-wood, and it was witnessed by Alden Leavitt, Jerry Conn, and Dick England.
