Guests – about 250 of them – will gather on the Bangor waterfront on Saturday, Sept. 24, to witness the wedding of Nicholas Raymond and Kim Stowell of Hampden.

The couple were finalists in the “Today Throws a Hometown Wedding” contest on NBC. Though a duo from Maryland won, friends and area businesses have ensured Nick and Kim will have their hometown wedding, after all.

The minister is booked. The bride’s gown has been chosen. The groom will wear tails. The bridesmaids will wear full-length bright pink dresses. The invitations have been sent to the printer. But a few choices remain, and it’s up to Bangor Daily News readers to help the couple with their planning.

Starting next week, readers of the Album page will have the chance to choose the wedding cake, photo album, hors d’oeuvres and other details. Results of the weekly online poll will be announced the following week.

Get out and vote so “Maine’s cutest couple” can relax and start thinking about the important things – like their honeymoon.
