BRIAN HEAD, Utah – Adam Craig of Corinth earned a pair of top-five finishes during the sixth event of the 2005 NORBA National Mountain Biking Series at Brian Head Resort over the weekend.
The 23-year-old Craig, who rides for Giant Bicycles, finished second in the pro men’s short track cross country event, trailing only Geoff Kabush of Victoria, British Columbia.
Craig placed fourth in the pro men’s cross country race, 4 minutes, 43 seconds behind winner Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski of Boulder, Colo. Jeremiah Bishop of Harrisburg, Va., placed second, with Todd Wells of Durango, Colo., third.
The results leave Craig in third place in both the short track cross country and cross country point standings. Kabush leads the short track standings with 954 points, followed by Horgan-Kobelski (954) and Craig (858). Horgan Kobelski leads the cross country standings with 979 points, followed by Kabush (957) and Craig (909).
The NMBS is off this week before heading East for events at Snowshoe Mountain, W.Va., on Aug. 18-21, and Mount Snow, Vt., on Aug. 25-28.
