Former Ellsworth High track standout Ben Shorey took national championship honors in the 15-kilometer racewalk in Watertown, MA Sunday.
Shorey led wire-to-wire and finished with a time of 1 hour, 11 minutes. In the women’s race, South Berwick’s Kate Dickinson, now running at UMaine-Farmington, broke her personal record and placed sixth with a time of 1:36.05.
