Montville, UBS move on to final Championship round set for this weekend

HERMON – Craig Harvey allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out three to lead UBS to a 2-0 win over Movingme.com in the Bay League East Division final on Wednesday.

With the win, UBS will meet West champ Montville in a Saturday doubleheader at Hermon at 1:30 p.m. An if-necessary game is set 1:30 p.m. Sunday for the best-of-3 series.

Adam Sheehan hit two singles, scored two runs, and stole two bases for UBS. Jason Harvey and Craig Harvey each drove in a run.

Greg Hawes and Chris Blanchette both doubled for Movingme.com.

Montville 11, Aerus 1

At Searsport, Nate Hall allowed just one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10 to push Montville past Aerus Electrolux in the West final.

Hall pitched a perfect game into the fifth inning. Roland Littlefield hit a solo home run and a single to drive in three runs for Montville. Greg Thayer doubled and single to knock two runs and George Tripp also doubled and singled with an RBI. Ben Relyea had three singles and an RBI and Jamie Potvin doubled and singled.

Andy Treadwell hit a solo home run to lead off the fifth inning for Aerus Electrolux and Mark Farnham singled.
