EASTON – Jared Flewelling scored an unassisted goal with 4:51 left in the first half to lift the Easton Bears to a 1-0 schoolboy soccer win over Wisdom of St. Agatha in each team’s opener Friday.
Jeremy Brock made 23 saves on 25 shots for Easton and Wisdom goalie Curtis Collin had 14 saves on 24 shots.
Limestone 7, Hodgdon 0
At Limestone, Joe Leighton and Ryan Dionne each scored two goals to help lead Limestone to victory.
Dustin Morgan, Justin King, and Parker Rossignol each had a goal for 1-0 Limestone. A.J. Rossignol made five saves on seven shots.
Robert Crane and Joe Hardy combined to stop seven of 20 shots for 0-1 Hodgdon.
Girls soccer
Wisdom 1, Easton 0
At Easton, Nicole St. Pierre scored off a pass from Justine Tardiff at 21:57 of the second half to lift Wisdom of St. Agatha to the win in the mutual opener.
Kayla Daigle stopped 10 out of 17 shots for the Pioneers while Brianna White blocked 11 out of 14 shots for the Bears.
Limestone 5, Hodgdon 1
At Limestone, Ellie Dunn knocked in all five Limestone goals, one coming off an assist from Ella Field as the host Eagles rolled in each team’s opener.
Melanie Allen stopped all eight shots she faced for Limestone.
Brianne McGary scored unassisted for the Hawks while Heather London made four saves on 14 shots.
