Kenny is a handsome boy who likes to please those around him. He enjoys biking, camping, swimming, ice skating and doing family activities. Kenny likes to play and create with his Lego blocks and is learning to play ice hockey.

Kenny, 10, and his brother came into the care of the state Department of Health and Human Services in September 2003.

Kenny values one-on-one attention from care providers. He often will ask his foster mother whether he is being a “good boy.” Kenny is a sweet boy and is well liked by his foster family.

At times he has difficulty getting along with his peers and does best with “eyes-on” supervision because of his aggressive and impulsive behavior. Kenny will need assistance in learning coping skills and techniques to manage his emotions in his interactions with adults and peers.

Kenny receives assistance in the resource room at school and can be easily distracted, particularly in a school setting. An adoptive family for Kenny will need to work with the staff at his school to ensure that Kenny’s educational needs are met.

Kenny would be most successful in an experienced, two-parent family that will remain committed to him over time. He also needs a loving family that will provide him with structure and routine.
