Montes donates cake for Nick and Kim’s hometown wedding

Montes International Catering of Bangor has donated the cake for Nick Raymond and Kimberly Stowell’s wedding. Though the flavor has yet to be determined – one thing’s for sure, it won’t be lemon, one of Kim’s least favorite flavors – Carmen Montes has selected five designs, which she will customize to fit Nick and Kim’s color scheme of deep pink and yellow. To choose your favorite, visit www.bangornews.com and cast your vote in the “Hometown Wedding” box. We’ll announce the winner and offer photo album choices on next Saturday’s Album page.

The cake choices are:

. A tiered cake with buttercream frosting, accented with real and icing flowers.

. A cake that is pretty as a present, wrapped in fondant and bedecked with edible ribbons.

. An understated five-layer cake featuring a spray of handmade sugar flowers.

. A five-tier cake dressed up with roses and autumn flowers, boasting icing scrollwork.

. An elegant cake with handmade icing roses and dots of icing mimicking wedding-gown beadwork.
