A New Testament professor from General Theological Seminary in New York will speak at two Belfast churches this month. Deidre Good, author of “Mariam, the Magdalen, and the Mother,” will discuss “How We Read the Bible” during an adult class session at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Court and Elm streets, at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14. Bring your own Bibles. She will be guest preacher at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at First Church in Belfast, corner of Church and Spring streets, and will speak on “Peter: Between a Rock and Hard Place.” Call St. Margaret’s 338-2412, First Church, 338-2282.
