SEARSPORT – A master birch-bark canoe builder, David Moses Bridges, will be building an 18-foot canoe from Wednesday, Aug. 17, to Friday, Aug. 26, at the Penobscot Marine Museum located on Route 1 and Church Street.
Bridges, a Passamaquoddy Indian, has built numerous birch-bark canoes and has studied the construction methods of American Indian canoes.
