The Maine Wildlife Park in Gray will be hosting some interesting events over the coming weeks.
On Aug. 27, Dave Sparks, the owner and operator of Sparks Ark, will set up and staff an exhibit about wild animal emergencies and nuisance wildlife relocation.
Sparks will be at the park from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and will offer tips to homeowners and wildlife lovers who sometimes end up a bit too close to wildlife.
Sparks is a licensed animal control agent and often live traps nuisance animals and relocates them to habitat areas far from humans.
On Oct. 14 the park will hold its final night visit of the year. The Halloween Night Hike will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The Maine Wildlife Park has more than 25 species of wildlife on display, in addition to wildlife gardens, nature trails and interactive displays and exhibits. The park is open daily until Nov. 11 from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
