Spotted: Sitting on the bench outside Northern Bay Market in Penobscot

Are you related?

Kate: No. We’ve been asked that a lot.

What are you going to do these last few weeks of

summer?

Brandi: I only have a few days. I’m going to Washington County Community College.

What is the last book

you read?

Kate: “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

What is the last song

you downloaded?

Brandi: I haven’t downloaded any recently.

What is your favorite song?

Kate: That’s a good question.

What do you do for fun in Penobscot?

Kate: That’s a good question, too.

Will you stay in Maine

after college?

Kate: I’d like to. I’d like to open a preschool.

Where would you like to

eat tonight?

Kate: Italy.

Brandi: I like Uno’s.

What work do you do

at the market?

Kate: Make pizza and sandwiches and stock the cooler.

Brandi: Cook lobsters.

What’s the most popular food you sell?

Brandi: Pizza.

Tell me about summer

people.

Kate: They’re nice. But they are very naive. One woman was mad that we sold tennis balls but not postcards. She was very sassy.

How’s the cell phone

service here?

Kate: Horrible.
