ORONO – Joanna Mitchell had 18 kills to help lead the Rhode Island volleyball team past the Maine Black Bears 33-31, 30-24, 30-20 in the ASICS Invitational at Memorial Gym Friday.
Lindsay St. John had 31 set assists and seven digs for 1-1 Rhode Island. Leslie Wiekamp had 19 digs and Rachel Bello added 10 kills.
Shelly Seipp had 30 set assists for the 0-1 Black Bears and Shannon Foster added 12 kills. Kaili Jordan had 14 digs and Jody Connacher had 12 digs.
