Brewer police are urging residents to report any suspicious behavior that may have occurred around Edgecomb Drive over the weekend after three residential burglaries were reported on Sunday afternoon.

Sgt. Jason Moffitt of the Brewer Police Department said that three homes on Edgecomb Drive were broken into over the course of the weekend while the owners were away. Cash and other items, including jewelry, were taken. An estimated value for the money and items stolen was not available as of Sunday evening.

Anyone who saw anything unusual occurring on or around Edgecomb Drive during the weekend is encouraged to call the Brewer police at 989-7001.

A fight on Essex Street in Bangor landed a man in jail on violation of bail conditions.

According to police reports, Officer Steve Jordan saw a man and woman fighting in the street at around 8 p.m. Saturday. He approached them and saw that the man, Carlos Wormley, 31, of Bangor, was intoxicated and smelled of alcohol and was grabbing at the female victim.

The woman was upset because Wormley had taken her car keys and ATM card and would not return them to her. Dispatch confirmed that Wormley’s bail conditions stipulated that he was not to use or possess alcohol, so Jordan arrested him for violation of conditional release.

Wormley was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he was reportedly uncooperative and unruly. Jordan returned the keys and card to the woman.
