PORTLAND – The Portland Sea Dogs set another franchise attendance record with an average of 6,290 fans per game in 63 openings, surpassing the previous mark of 6,231 set in 2003.

The Sea Dogs sold out Hadlock Field 28 times in 2005 and drew 396,277 fans this season. The club fell short of the record for fan attendance in a season, likely because eight home dates were lost to rainouts. The current record is 434,694, set in 2004.
