CAMDEN – The U.S. flag that flies over the town’s post office was discovered missing Sunday evening and had been replaced by a skull-and-crossbones Jolly Roger standard.

Police Chief Phil Roberts said Monday the unauthorized pirate flag was reported hanging from the building’s mast on Chestnut Street about 7 p.m.

The U.S. flag that was apparently taken has not been found.

Police had no suspects in the theft, but are investigating.
