The following recalls have been announced:
. About 35,830 pounds of Polish sausage, made by Lykes Meat Group of Plant City, Fla., and distributed to retail stores in Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, New York and Ohio, because they may be underprocessed. Products recalled are 14-ounce packages labeled “John Morrell Polish Sausage made with Chicken, Pork, Beef” and bearing the use-by date of August 2005 and the codes 162509A and 162509B.
The products were produced and packaged June 11. There have been no reports of illness associated with them. For questions about the recall, contact the company at (800) 414-0600 or the Agriculture Department’s meat and poultry hot line at (888) 674-6854.
. About 3,400 pounds of pork sausage, made by A.J. Cetak’s Meat Market of Nebraska and distributed to retail stores in Nebraska and over the Internet, because the products have the undeclared allergen wheat flour. Products recalled are 12-ounce to 16-ounce packages labeled “Cetak’s Family Tradition for four generations Jaternice (Ring Pudding Sausage)” and bearing the code EST.21562 inside the USDA inspection seal.
The sausages were produced between Jan. 9, 2003, and Aug. 22, 2005. There have been no reports of illness associated with the products. For questions about the recall, contact the Agriculture Department’s meat and poultry hot line at (888) 674-6854.
