DOVER-FOXCROFT – A local woman was injured on Saturday when she lost control of her eastbound vehicle on Route 11/16 and was ejected as the car rolled over three times.

Nekole McLeod Harmon, 20, was in fair condition Tuesday at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

The accident took place at 6:55 p.m., according to police. Harmon, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected through a side window during the accident, according to Officer David Smiley of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.

Her 10-month-old son, John D. Harmon III, was restrained in a child safety seat and received minor bruises, the officer said.

Harmon was taken by ambulance to Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft and was transferred later to EMMC.

Smiley said McLeod’s 1995 GMC pickup truck was demolished. Smiley was assisted at the scene by Dover-Foxcroft police, Dover-Foxcroft and Sebec firefighters and Maine State Police.
