A Bangor man arrested Monday on outstanding warrants was issued two new summonses for reportedly using his vehicle to ram another car that afternoon.
The man whose car was hit tracked down Bangor police Officer James Dearing near Broadway and State Street. The man told Dearing what happened and showed him the damage to his 2004 Kia Optima. The officer later estimated the damage at $1,000.
The man also told Dearing that it was Jason Nason, 25, who hit his car. Apparently, the two men do not get along, according to the police report.
Dearing went to an address that was listed for Nason and found his Toyota RAV4, with visible damage to its front end. Nason, who had active warrants, did not come out of the residence immediately when the officer arrived. The officer told Nason’s wife about the warrants and new charges and, eventually, Nason was arrested and taken to Penobscot County Jail.
Nason was charged with driving to endanger and criminal mischief.

An Etna man and his daughter were injured Tuesday afternoon when the motorcycle they were on struck a deer on Route 69.
Dean Harrington, 44, remained at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor on Tuesday evening after suffering head injuries. His daughter Courtney Harrington, 19, was treated at St. Joseph Hospital for complaints of wrist pain and later released.
The daughter was wearing a helmet although it appeared that the father was not, based on his injuries, according to Trooper Scott Hamilton who investigated the accident. The accident occurred about 12:20 p.m. about a quarter-mile from the local snowmobile club. One lane along Route 69 was shut down for about half an hour, Hamilton said. The deer died.
