BANGOR – The Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestra and Ensemble is looking for passionate players who enjoy a challenge and want to meet other talented musicians.
The BSYO will hold auditions noon-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Bangor Symphony Orchestra office, 51 Main St., Bangor.
There are three performing groups in the BSYO:
. The string ensemble for advanced beginner to intermediate players.

Students are placed according to playing ability and the need of the conductor. Some students may be asked to participate in more than one group. Acceptance is dependent on performance ability. There is no age limit.
The fee for auditioning is $80, which covers two eight-week sessions and two concerts, all held on Sunday afternoons; a T-shirt; admission to Bangor Symphony Orchestra concerts, and a chance to usher at those concerts.
