AUGUSTA – State Reps. Marilyn Canavan, D-Waterville, and John Brautigam, D-Falmouth, will visit with Connecticut legislators today to help them craft a clean elections law similar to the landmark one established in Maine, the first clean elections state in the country.

Canavan and State Rep. John Brautigam, responded to an invitation by Democratic legislators from the Connecticut Assembly to speak about the Maine Clean Elections law and aid the Assembly Members as they draft their own version of the law.

Canavan and Brautigam both played instrumental roles in establishing clean elections in Maine.
