Flewellings lead Easton to win over East Grand

DANFORTH – Jared Flewelling scored three goals while brother Nick Flewelling added one as the Easton Bears shut out the East Grand Vikings 4-0 in schoolboy soccer action Friday.

Jeremy Brock stopped all nine shots he faced for 7-4 Easton.

Ricky Parks recorded 15 saves on 20 shots for 0-1 East Grand.

Nokomis 7, Skowhegan 0

At Newport, Troy Murray scored five consecutive goals, three of which were unassisted in the first half, to lead the Warriors past Skowhegan.

Corey Harding scored off a direct kick and Sam Wilson netted an unassisted goal.

Wayne May made five saves on 10 shots for 1-2 Nokomis.

Allan Mackay saved 19 of 22 shots for 0-3 Skowhegan.

JV: Nokomis 4-1

WA Raiders 4, Jones.-Beals 1

At East Machias, the Raiders scored three second-half goals to break a halftime tie and earn the win.

Ian Lookabaugh tied the game in the first half and Todd Jun scored off a Trevor Jessiman pass for the eventual game-winner. Julian Washington and Milos Gautier each added a goal, while Perry Newell and Joe Bae each had an assist for the 2-0 Raiders. Josiah Jackson made six saves on 10 shots.

Mikey Smith scored a first-half goal for the 0-2 Royals. Ben Ellis stopped nine of 21 shots.

Highview Chr. 2, Chop Point 2

At Charleston, Zach Frish had a goal and an assist as Highview Christian Academy opened its season by battling Chop Point of Woolwich to an overtime tie.

Andrew Richard added a goal for Highview Christian, while Michala Rowe added an assist.

Darryl Coombs and Ben Stevens scored for Chop Point, with Stevens’ goal coming off a Jill Frasier assist 21:42 into the second half to forge the 2-2 tie.

Stefan Rowe and Jordan Day combined to make five saves on seven shots for Highview Christian. Chris Ziehm made four saves on 30 shots for Chop Point.

Machias 5, Narraguagus 0

At Harrington, Mike Little tallied three goals as the Bulldogs rolled.

Jacob Stevens and Isaiah Roberts each chipped in with a goal for 2-1 Machias and Garrett Getchell stopped both Narraguagus shots.

Ben Grant and Aaron Legg combined for nine saves on 14 shots for the 1-1 Knights.

Searsport 3, Sumner 2

At Searsport, Caleb Ashey knocked in two goals as the Vikings held off the Tigers.

Omar Chaab added a goal for Searsport and Garrett Greenlaw made six saves.

Timmy Kidder scored for the Tigers of East Sullivan. The other goal came on an own goal. Nathan Young recorded seven saves.

Dexter 4, Foxcroft Acad. 3

At Dexter, the Tigers overcame a 3-0 deficit late in the game to remain undefeated.

Senior Brandon Woodman put 4-0 Dexter on the board with 15:25 left in the game and, two minutes later, Rick Stewart netted one for the Tigers.

Down one with just under four minutes to play, junior Aaron Woodman nailed two goals to capture the win. Stewart, Dan Betham and Adam Eastman had assists for the Tigers.

Chris Lee netted two goals for Ponies, while Victor Codina added a goal and an assist.

Chris Eastman stopped five of 10 shots for Dexter.

Jake Dever made 18 saves on 29 shots for the Ponies.

Central 3, Penquis 0

At Corinth, Scott Heath tallied two goals and one assists to lead the Red Devils to the win.

Danny Kane contributed a goal for 2-1 Central. Charles Haney made 10 saves on 14 shots.

Nick Emery stopped 25 out of 32 shots for the 0-4 Patriots of Milo.

George Stevens 4, MDI 1

At Blue Hill, Phineas Peak had a goal and assist for the Eagles in the win.

Ryan Kurtz, Danny Moran and Blake Wood added a goal apiece for 1-1-1 George Stevens while Monsar Aljarbow had an assist. Collin Henry made eight saves on 14 shots.

Eric St. Denis had the lone goal for the 1-2 Trojans, with Naniel Hilliard getting the assist. Max Blandford had nine saves on 24 shots.

Lawrence 4, Old Town 2

At Old Town, Steve Grudda scored three goals to lead the Bulldogs past the Indians.

Eric Hoak added a goal for 2-1 Lawrence of Fairfield, which outscored Old Town 3-1 in the second half. Matt Stevens, Travis Chenevert and Isaac Shepherd each added an assist. Josh Shepherd made 10 saves on 13 shots.

Nate Lonko and Dillon Clark each scored for the 1-2 Indians. David Martinez assisted on Clark’s goal and Ethan Shanley stopped 12 of 18 shots.

JV: Lawrence 6-1

Girls soccer

Fort Fairfield 2, Washburn 1

At Fort Fairfield, Keegan O’Neal scored with 2:45 left in the second overtime, lifting the Tigers to the win.

After a corner kick by the Tigers was deflected off the hand of the Washburn goalie, O’Neal sent a header into the net.

Sadie Ayoob also had a goal from a Kerri Cunningham assist. Lauren Beckwith stopped 13 of 14 shots for the 6-0-2 Tigers.

Heidi Bois tied up the game for 5-3-1 Washburn in the second half off a pass from Alex Bird. Amber Palmer made 16 saves on 18 shots.
