EAST MACHIAS – The Washington Academy Raiders scored three second-half goals to break a 1-1 halftime tie and roll to a 4-1 schoolboy soccer victory over Jonesport-Beals Friday.

Ian Lookabaugh tied the game in the first half and Todd Jun scored off a Trevor Jessiman pass for the eventual game-winner. Julian Washington and Milos Gautier each added a goal, while Perry Newell and Joe Bae each had an assist for the 2-0 Raiders. Josiah Jackson made six saves on 10 shots.

Mikey Smith scored a first-half goal for the 0-2 Royals. Ben Ellis stopped nine of 21 shots.

Easton 4, East Grand 0

At Danforth, Jared Flewelling scored three goals while brother Nick Flewelling added one as the Bears blanked the Vikings.

Jeremy Brock stopped all nine shots he faced for 7-4 Easton.

Ricky Parks recorded 15 saves on 20 shots for 0-1 East Grand.

Nokomis 7, Skowhegan 0

At Newport, Troy Murray scored five consecutive goals, three of which were unassisted in the first half, to lead the Warriors past Skowhegan.

Corey Harding scored off a direct kick and Sam Wilson netted an unassisted goal.

Wayne May made five saves on 10 shots for 1-2 Nokomis.

Allan Mackay saved 19 of 22 shots for 0-3 Skowhegan.

Highview Chr. 2, Chop Point 2

At Charleston, Zach Frish had a goal and an assist as Highview Christian Academy opened its season by battling Chop Point of Woolwich to an overtime tie.

Andrew Richard added a goal for Highview Christian, while Michala Rowe added an assist.

Darryl Coombs and Ben Stevens scored for Chop Point, with Stevens’ goal coming off a Jill Frasier assist 21:42 into the second half to forge the 2-2 tie.

Stefan Rowe and Jordan Day combined to make five saves on seven shots for Highview Christian. Chris Ziehm made four saves on 30 shots for Chop Point.

Machias 5, Narraguagus 0

At Harrington, Mike Little tallied three goals as the Bulldogs rolled.

Jacob Stevens and Isaiah Roberts each chipped in with a goal for 2-1 Machias and Garrett Getchell stopped both Narraguagus shots.

Ben Grant and Aaron Legg combined for nine saves on 14 shots for the 1-1 Knights.

Searsport 3, Sumner 2

At Searsport, Caleb Ashey knocked in two goals as the Vikings held off the Tigers.

Omar Chaab added a goal for Searsport and Garrett Greenlaw made six saves.

Timmy Kidder scored for the Tigers of East Sullivan. The other goal came on an own goal. Nathan Young recorded seven saves.

George Stevens 4, MDI 1

At Blue Hill, Phineas Peak had a goal and assist for the Eagles in the win.

Ryan Kurtz, Danny Moran and Blake Wood added a goal apiece for 1-1-1 George Stevens while Monsar Aljarbow had an assist. Collin Henry made eight saves on 14 shots.

Eric St. Denis had the lone goal for the 1-2 Trojans, with Naniel Hilliard getting the assist. Max Blandford had nine saves on 24 shots.

Lawrence 4, Old Town 2

At Old Town, Steve Grudda scored three goals to lead the Bulldogs past the Indians.

Eric Hoak added a goal for 2-1 Lawrence of Fairfield, which outscored Old Town 3-1 in the second half. Matt Stevens, Travis Chenevert and Isaac Shepherd each added an assist. Josh Shepherd made 10 saves on 13 shots.

Nate Lonko and Dillon Clark each scored for the 1-2 Indians. David Martinez assisted on Clark’s goal and Ethan Shanley stopped 12 of 18 shots.

Camden Hills 3, MCI 2 (2OT)

At Pittsfield, Miles Davee scored with 3 minutes left in the second extra session off a scramble in front of the net to lift the Windjammers to victory.

Ricky Bresnahan and Corey McLean added a goal apiece for Camden Hills, now 3-0. James Cummons had five saves on eight shots.

Eric Sobey and Guillermo Torras notched a goal each for the 2-1 Huskies. Tristan Gowey stopped three out of eight shots.

Girls soccer

Brewer 2, Mt. Blue 1

At Brewer, second-half goals by Sarah Risser and Katie Quimby rallied the Witches to their first victory of the season.

Risser scored on an Elizabeth Cote assist 58 seconds into the second half to forge a 1-1 tie. Quimby scored the unassisted game-winner at 26:33 of the final period.

Bonnie Silkman had given Mt. Blue of Farmington a 1-0 lead 34:50 into the first half.

Carolyn Tuck made 14 saves on 15 shots for 1-2 Brewer. Caitlin Scott made seven saves on nine shots for 2-1 Mt. Blue.

John Bapst 4, Ellsworth 2

At Bangor, Catherine Lammert scored two first-half goals to help keep the Crusaders undefeated.

Hayley Cutri had an unassisted score and Kari Havnevik had the team’s only second-half goal, an unassisted boot 25 yards from the net. Kristina Hambrock notched an assist for the 3-0 Crusaders.

Caroline Cassling made six saves on 14 shots.

For 2-1 Ellsworth, Maggie Harding and Maggie Seavey each scored unassisted goals. Catie Cravens made 16 saves on 28 shots.

At Woodland, Sara Rushforth recorded four goals and an assist to pace the 1-1 Raiders.

Three of Rushforth’s scores came in the second half. Jana Espling also notched a goal and an assist.

Keeper Megan Look had a shutout for Washington Academy, making six saves.

Cindy Bergin made 13 saves on 18 shots for the 1-1 Dragons.

Waterville 3, Hampden 1

At Hampden, Paige Gardiner had two goals and one assist for the Purple Panthers in the win.

Stephanie Whitten tallied a goal and assist for 3-0 Waterville. Taylor Hart had eight saves on 17 shots.

Annaliese Lafayette converted a penalty kick for the 1-1 Broncos. Michelle Wells stopped 11 out of 20 shots.

Dexter 2, Orono 1

At Orono, Jana Kenney and Vanessa Hartford each scored a goal to help the Tigers earn the win.

Denise Robinson added an assist for 3-1 Dexter. Katie Poirier made 10 saves on 12 shots.

Emily Sypher notched the 1-3 Red Riots’ only goal on an Anna O’Neil assist. Kristina Kittridge made 13 saves on 17 shots.

Stearns 2, John Bapst 0

At Millinocket, Jamie Johnson scored a goal in each half to lift the Minutemen to the win.

Felicia Achron and Amy Collinsworth had assists for 3-0 Stearns. Deanna Michaud stopped all 14 shots she faced.

Hillary LaSerriere had 14 saves on 16 shots for 2-1 John Bapst of Bangor.
