The school committee wants to fill a vacancy. Laura Janicki has resigned to become director of the town’s Parks and Recreation Department. The new school committee member will serve the remainder of Janicki’s one-year term, at which time the member may run for another one-year term or choose to run for a three-year term. School committee experience is preferred. Interested applicants should send a letter of interest by Friday, Sept. 16, to the Veazie Town Council, 1084 Main St., Veazie 04401.
