ASHLAND – Ashland goalie Ashley Nemer collected her 30th career shutout, stopping both shots she faced as the Hornets shut out their sixth straight opponent by beating Katahdin of Stacyville 1-0 in schoolgirl soccer action Monday.

Whitney Flint tallied the game’s only goal for the 5-0-2 Hornets, coming with 10:20 left in regulation. Jackie Raymond was credited with the assist.

Kayla Stevens had 12 saves on 16 shots for the 0-4 Cougars.

Washburn 2, Easton 0

At Washburn, Kristen Goupille had a goal and an assist as the Beavers earned the shutout victory.

Goupille scored unassisted 26:49 into the match, then fed Kelsee McLaughlin for Washburn’s second goal nine minutes later.

Sisters Amber and Rachel Palmer made three saves on four shots for 6-2-1 Washburn. Kassie Lovely made 22 saves on 23 shots for 2-9 Easton.

Lee Acad. 9, Woodland 0

At Woodland, Lee Academy scored seven goals in the second half to pull away from the Dragons.

Aarika Ritchie led the Pandas with a goal and an assist, while Jodi Worcester also scored two goals.

Amanda Gifford added a goal and an assist, while Liz Read, Karen Bird, Laci McLaughlin and Amy Lane also scored goals and Marci Moors chipped in with an assist.

Jackie Moors saved both the shots she faced for 3-0 Lee, while Cindy Bergin made 21 saves on 29 shots for 1-2 Woodland.

Limestone 3, Fort Fairfield 0

At Limestone, Lee Anne Kelly scored a first-half goal to help push Limestone to victory.

Logan Cousins and Julie Peers both scored a goal for 7-2-1 Limestone and Sheena Page had an assist. Melanie Allen made 13 saves on 18 shots.

Lauren Beckwith stopped 16 of 24 shots for 6-1-2 Fort Fairfield.

Houlton 3, Schenck 2

At East Millinocket, three different Shiretowers had a goal apiece in the win over the Wolverines.

Mallory McPartland, Brittany Guiod and Emily Bartlett each recorded a goal for Houlton, now 3-6. Nicole Manton made nine saves on 17 shots.

Courtney McLaughlin scored both goals for 2-2 Schenck. Robin Larlee stopped six out of 14 shots.

Winslow 9, Rockland 0

At Rockland, Vicki Nadeau scored a goal and assisted another to help lead Winslow to the win.

Chelsea Carrier also scored two goals for 4-0 Winslow. Brynne Davis, Meryl McLellan, Katie Caron, Liz Cheesman, and Katie McLaughlin each scored a goal. Hannah Brazier stopped all three shots.

Allie Todd made 13 saves on 21 shots for 0-4 Rockland.

Boys soccer

So. Aroostook 5, East Grand 0

At Dyer Brook, Adam Anderson scored three goals and assisted another to push Southern Aroostook past East Grand of Danforth.

Tyler Robinson and Josh Branscombe each added a goal for the 6-0-1 Warriors. Colby Clark and Dylan Stubbs combined to stop all four shots.

Mike Armstrong made 12 saves on 17 shots for the 0-2 Vikings.

Houlton 10, Hodgdon 0

At Houlton, Sharif Abouleish had three goals and two assists to lead the Shiretowners to their first victory.

Aaron Fitzpatrick and Jordan Gard each added two goals for 1-5-1 Houlton, while Justin Stewart, Corey Lewis and Peter Merbach scored one goal apiece.

Eben Thompson earned the shutout by saving all three shots he faced. Ken Suiter and Chris Harvey combined to make 12 saves on 22 shots for 0-9 Hodgdon.

Katahdin 1, Ashland 0

At Ashland, Marshall Davis scored with 28:14 left in the opening half as Katahdin of Stacyville remained undefeated.

Jeremy Tarr made 24 saves on 31 shots to earn the shutout for the 3-0-1 Cougars. Burton Brayall made 25 saves on 37 shots for 4-3 Ashland.

Easton 3, Washburn 1

At Washburn, Brad Trask scored all three goals to lead Easton to the win.

Jared Flewelling and Corey White each had an assist for 6-5 Easton. Jeremy Brock stopped 31 of 42 shots.

Ethan Doody scored a second-half goal on a Jon Hester assist for 4-6 Washburn. Steven Pesut made 13 saves on 22 shots.

Madawaska 5, Wisdom 1

At Madawaska, Tyler Levesque scored two goals and had an assist to help lead Madawaska past Wisdom of St. Agatha.

Matt Bosse and Dom Rossignol each had a goal and an assist for 6-1-1 Madawaska. Matt Bealieau added a goal as Paul Roy and Adam Ouellette both had an assist. Chad Bechard stopped four of five shots.

Wayne Dyment scored on a Chad Sirois assist in the first half for 0-9 Wisdom. Curtis Collin made 15 saves on 20 shots.
